Ends of the Earth: From Polar Bears to Penguins

June 7, 2008 – January 2, 2009
Journey from one end of the globe to the other as you explore the fascinating Arctic and Antarctic regions. Along the way, you'll walk like a penguin, climb inside a polar bear den, study magnified polar bear hair and penguin feathers, and track animated ice movement as you learn how polar animals are adapted to live in the most extreme conditions. Ends of the Earth explores the uniqueness of the Earth's farthest reaches, what scientists are currently learning there, and how these regions are indicators of climate change on our planet.

Frugal Fabrics Presents Fundraiser to Benefit Breast Cancer Three Day Walk

Frugal Fabrics is celebrating the opening of their new design andresource center with a fundraiser to benefit the Breast Cancer 3-day walk.  Silent auction items will be presented for bids beginning on  September 5th.   The grand finale will be the September 11th customerappreciation evening at 6 p. m. Come in and browse the many items donated by local vendors for the silent auction.  Furniture, rugs, paintings, window treatments,accessories and design consultations are but a few of the many items offered during this exciting event.   If you or anyone you know has been touched by the devastation of breast cancer, this will be an event you won’t want to miss.

Silent auction items will be presented for bids beginning on September 5th.   The grand finale will be the September 11th customer appreciation evening at 6 p. m. Furniture, rugs, paintings, window treatments,accessories and design consultations and more offered during this exciting event.

ALL proceeds will go to the Susan G. Komen 3-day Breast Cancer walk for the Cure.
