Merino Every woman has a handful of shops she’ll look to when a certain occasion calls, when she needs something really memorable. Merino, a new boutique in the Shops Around Lenox, should be added to that list. Specializing in emerging and lesser-known labels from around the world—Malaysia, Australia, Canada, and Mexico in addition to New York and L.A.—Merino carries several names you’ll find nowhere else in the Southeast. Add to that the fact that owner Amel Hadid Ead, a native of Australia, stocks no more than three or four garments of the same style. Then add the fact that those styles are reliably fashion-forward, with a cosmopolitan yet conservative sensibility well suited to Atlanta, and the question arises: Where have you been all our (provincial) lives?
